Terms of Service

The rules and regulations for using Artemis.

Effective Date: January 7, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Artemis ("the Software", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

Artemis is operated by Artemis Organization ("we", "us", "our"), operating under the laws of Lithuania.

2. Nature of the Service

Artemis is an advanced AI agent designed to assist with computer tasks.

  • Development Status: The Service is currently in active development (Alpha/Beta). While we strive for high reliability, the Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
  • General Purpose: Artemis is a general-purpose automation tool. It executes instructions provided by you (the User) using the context of your computer. It does not have independent will; it acts solely as an extension of your inputs.

3. User Responsibility & Liability

This is the most important section. Please read carefully.

Because Artemis executes actions on your local machine based on your prompts, you assume full liability for its operations.

3.1 Strict Liability

You are solely responsible for every action taken by the AI. If Artemis deletes a file, sends a message, executes a trade, or modifies a system setting, you are liable for the outcome.

3.2 Operational Warnings (Do Not Use If...)

To protect yourself and your data, you agree NOT to use Artemis in the following scenarios unless you fully accept the risks:

  • Critical/Unbacked-up Data: Do not use Artemis on systems containing critical files (e.g., family photos, unfinished thesis, cryptographic keys) that are not backed up externally. We are not responsible for data loss.
  • Sensitive Client Data: Do not use Artemis in environments handling highly sensitive third-party data (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR-restricted client databases) where an accidental exposure or modification could cause legal liability.
  • Unsupervised Financial Operations: Do not leave Artemis running unattended on banking, brokerage, or cryptocurrency exchange interfaces.

3.3 Supervision

You agree to supervise the Agent's actions. While we provide safety features (such as confirmation prompts), these are not fail-safe. You are the final authority on all clicks and keystrokes.

3.4 Financial Disclaimer

Artemis is not a financial advisor. If you use the Software for financial trading, gambling, or purchasing, you do so at your own risk. We are not liable for financial losses, "fat-finger" errors, or poor trading decisions made by the AI.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

We use Stripe for secure payment processing.

  • Free Trial: We offer a 7-day free trial. To prevent fraud, we may perform a validity check on your payment method upon sign-up. You will not be charged until the trial ends.
  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis.
  • No Refunds: ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Due to the high costs of GPU compute and token generation required to run the AI, we do not offer refunds for partial months, unused time, or dissatisfaction with the AI's intelligence.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Dashboard. You will retain access until the end of your current billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use Artemis for:

  1. Malicious Activity: Creating viruses, deploying malware, or conducting cyberattacks.
  2. Spam: Sending unsolicited mass emails, messages, or comments.
  3. Illegal Acts: Any activity that violates the laws of your jurisdiction or Lithuania.
  4. Bypassing Security: Using the AI to solve CAPTCHAs for malicious scraping or credential stuffing.

We reserve the right to terminate your account immediately, without refund, if we detect usage that violates this policy or endangers our infrastructure.

6. Intellectual Property & Reverse Engineering

  • Your Content: You own the output created by the AI (e.g., code, text, workflows).
  • Our Property: We own the Artemis software, the Rust client, the Python backend logic, and the brand.
  • No Reverse Engineering: You are strictly prohibited from:
    • Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse-engineering the Artemis executable (.exe).
    • Sniffing, intercepting, or replicating the WebSocket API traffic.
    • Attempting to access the backend server infrastructure directly.

7. Data & Privacy

We respect your privacy and data security.

  • Session Data: Data sent to our servers (such as screen context) is used solely for the purpose of generating real-time responses. Upon the termination of your session, no screen data or context is stored on our servers.
  • Local Storage: Your chat history and long-term context are stored locally on your device and are encrypted.
  • Security: All data in transit is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS/WSS).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artemis Organization shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
